Best and Worst Bathrooms on Campus

Stuck with boredom during class earlier I was scrolling through Buzzfeed articles and came across one where people told their worst diarrhea stories. Everyone has to use the restroom, whether it be ‘number one’ or ‘number two’. There is an entire list of names you could call these, although a friend of mine takes the cake when he sees “I have take the Browns to the Super Bowl”.

The University of Louisville has a restroom in each building. Not all of them are the best places to go, though. Some are used more often than others which create bigger crowds and less privacy. The lesser used ones tend to be cleaner as well. Here is a list of the best and worst places on the campus of UofL to use the restroom.

Worst:

5. Residence Halls

These are the most convenient to those who live in the building, but you have tons of students using these probably multiple times a day. Unless you go at 2:00 a.m. you probably will not have much privacy.

4. Ekstrom Library

image
Libraries are quite so it should be a pretty calm place to go. However, over a thousand people will be in Ekstrom throughout the day and plenty of them will find their way to the toilet. The restrooms have sometimes been quite packed with people and have had a line.

3. Davidson Hall

image
Almost every student has had some general education class in this building. There is also a dining option on the first floor. With so many people the restrooms will quickly become overcrowded. Due to the large crowds the restrooms will get messy and toilets will get stopped up.

2. Bingham Humanities Building

First of all, good luck finding a restroom. It is a pain in the butt (pun intended) to find a restroom. This is another building with a lot of general education classes, home to specific departments, and a dining option. The restrooms are packed and gross.

1. Student Activities Center

image
It is the busiest building on campus. You will find students, athletes, faculty, staff, and visitors in here. The restrooms are loud and disgusting. Just do not even bother.

Best

5. Stickler Hall

Who knows why this is actually a good place to go. With it hosting general education classes as well as those communication classes you are required to take it seems like another Davidson. Head down to the basement and you will find great restrooms. Most folks typically do not venture downstairs so you are guaranteed to find a quiet, peaceful place to do your duty.

4. Grawemeyer Hall

image
No classes. Just the president, provost, and other administrators. Of course their restrooms will be nice. Many students do not even know where this building is. The Thinker Statue, doofus!

3. Music School

image
Music majors are too busy practicing to eat, sleep, breathe so they hardly use the restroom. I am a music major so I know from experience. Avoid the ‘poop cave’ in the basement, which recently flooded, and you will be good to go for a quiet and clean place.

2. Lutz Hall

image
Found in the research quad right by the Miller Information and Technology Center this building is pretty new. Not too many folks meander over to this building so you do not have to be interrupted by people going in and out all the time. Plus the restrooms are crazy clean!

1. University Club and Alumni Center

image
Students have no clue what is even in here. There is a center for alumni and space for our alumni offices. Denny Crum has an office here. There is also a nice restaurant located inside (not covered in meal plan, so don’t try) that faculty and visitors will sometimes eat it. The restrooms are kept spotless and are typically empty from people.

Hopefully your you time is nothing but the best. Use these tips to improve your experience because it’s happening here!
